Luke Saunders Featuring David Espinel, is a duo rock band from Calgary, Alberta. The group is raw and free but also intentional and soulful. You will hear rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop and some funk sounds. You will also hear a clear and consistent message about hope, love and life.
The band consists of Luke Saunders on guitar/vocals and David Espinel on drums/percussion. Luke and David have enjoyed various levels of success in other projects and came together out of a desire to make great music.
About Luke Saunders:
A humble beginning in the small town of Glover town Newfoundland is were Luke used to listen to his late father pick traditional music for him and his two brothers as they would fall asleep each night. It was in those moments he became inspired to play the guitar.
At age 15 his family moved West for his father's job in the oil patch and it was there that Luke began to develop as an artist from busking at Eau Claire market to playing at coffee shops.
In 2006 he formed the Vibe 98.5 $100,000 Star Search Contest winning group of 2007Satori Life and released a debut album titled Planet Music. After touring for 4 years and opening for bigger bands like Lynard Skynard, Cheap Trick, Wide Mouth Mason to name a few, the band dissolved in 2010.
Luke took a few years off and started a family and has now re-emerged as a mature well rounded acoustic singer songwriter with an ability to engage a crowd with story and song.
A native of Quito, Ecuador David got his professional start at age 17 playing in various clubs and festivals.
David has performed and toured with many bands across Canada and parts of the United States including a gig at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood in the summer of 2014, opening up for L.A. Guns.
Since graduating from Humber College in Toronto, Ontario, Dean Lauderdale's dedication towards music production has grown immensely since his 4-song studio EP, Far Away From Home was released in 2012.
He has since worked on many projects of his own, consisting of a full-length cover album, a Christmas album, as well as his original material. His epic cover of the Game of Thrones theme includes a wide variety of instruments, which Dean plays all himself.
